Bassist, Production Team Member, Person

I have been playing music, primarily bass guitar since childhood, and live in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. I enjoy many styles of music including Rock, funky and traditional Blues, R&B, country and Americana.

I currently I split my time between playing bass in bands and production work (see below).

“Sterns County 17” is the band I am currently playing with. Over the last few years we have played country rock at clubs and special events around Minnesota and Wisconsin. We also recorded and released a live CD, did a week in Vegas and a short west coast tour. The band plays often and I am really enjoying making music with these guys.

Some cool I played with in the past:

“Molly Nova and the Hawk”~ Minnesota Music Award winning rock/blues band, played at numerous festivals including Chicago Blues Festival three consecutive years.”Big John Dickerson and Blue Chamber”~ 8 piece swinging R&B touring group including Europe dates, several local TV appearances.”Crow”~ Minnesota classic rock legends, hits include Evil Woman and Cottage Cheese, performed at festivals and clubs and as support act for nationals.

I also work as a fill-in musician with local groups, opened for numerous national artists and played bass as side musician for Chuck Berry (father of R&R), Pete Rivera (original lead singer/drummer for Rare Earth), Alex Chilton (singer, songwriter, Box Tops and Big Star), Cub Coda (singer, Brownsville Station and rock journalist) and Sonny Geraci (singer, Climax and The Outsiders).

I have had the pleasure of recording with very talented friends, and am always eager for more live or recording opportunities.Check out my media page for pics and examples of my playing!

Production

In addition to bass playing I am a runner/production assistant working for large event promoters, facilities and entertainers and corporations including Live Nation, AEG and Sue McClean and Associates.I also have experience as a production assistant for national television, including sports events.

I work with a great non-profit organization called She Rock She Rock. They have excellent programs for girls and women interested in music including a summer day camp. We also teach music at Sue McLean’s “Tweentown” overnight girl’s camp.

Some of the things I have done in the past include a position as show coordinator for a large backline company. I also worked as a backline technician at hundreds of shows for national artists. I have some additional experience in audio (theatrical and club), retail sales/operations and transportation.

For fun I like travel, sports, my dogs and a few other semi-geeky things.
